Our hosted Thailand trip is being planned now. Like our other hosted trips, it's for everyone who doesn't want to wait for friends to commit: a small group, with someone from Unpinned travelling the whole way with you, and free time built in.
Where we're looking: the Andaman coast
Thailand's Andaman coast is the side of the country known for limestone cliffs, longtail boats and some of the clearest water in the region. These are the places we're planning around:
- Krabi and Ao Nang: the mainland base for boats out to Railay and the islands.
- Railay: beaches backed by limestone cliffs, reached by boat.
- The Phi Phi Islands: emerald lagoons and some of Thailand's best-known views.
- Koh Lanta: long beaches and a slower pace at the southern end.

When to go
The Andaman coast is typically at its best from November to April, in the dry season. From around May to October the seas are rougher and some boat routes run less often.
