Small-group trips to Bali, Vietnam and Thailand, with a host the whole way
Plenty of trips never leave the group chat. Dates don't line up, someone's saving, someone's "keen, but". Our hosted trips are for everyone who doesn't want to wait: come on your own or bring someone along, travel in a small group, and have someone from Unpinned on the ground from the first dinner to the last swim.
The route is planned and the free time is yours. Every hosted trip keeps room for the detours you only find once you're there.
How hosted trips work
- A host on the ground. Someone from Unpinned travels with the group the whole way.
- Small groups. Group size is set per trip and published with the dates.
- Meet before you fly. Catch-ups before a trip, so nobody arrives at the airport a stranger.
- Room to wander. Free time is built into every route.
- A welcome pack. Planned for every hosted traveller: a passport holder, tee, drink bottle and bag tags.
The routes we're planning
- Bali hosted trip: Ubud to Uluwatu over a draft 7 days and 6 nights, taking in the Tegallalang rice terraces, Kintamani, Canggu, a boat day to Nusa Penida and sunset at Uluwatu.
- Vietnam hosted trip: Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, via Da Nang's beaches and the lantern-lit old town of Hoi An.
- Thailand hosted trip: Krabi, Railay and the Andaman islands. Coming soon.
- Vietnam + Thailand, mountains to beach: a 2 to 2.5 week concept pairing the Ha Giang loop and Ninh Binh with southern Thailand's islands.
All of these are concepts for now. Routes are sketched and researched, but nothing is booked or for sale yet. Dates, prices, group sizes, accommodation and inclusions go up only once every part is confirmed.

Not yet. Hosted trips are concepts until dates, prices and inclusions are confirmed. Join the club and you'll hear as soon as they are.
Do I need to come with friends?
No. Hosted trips are for everyone who doesn't want to wait for friends to commit. Come on your own or bring someone along.
Who hosts the trips?
Someone from Unpinned travels with the group, from the first dinner to the last swim. Manav, who runs Unpinned from Melbourne, will host the first trips himself.
How big are the groups?
Small. Group size is set per trip and published with the dates.
What's the difference between a hosted trip and a personalised trip?
A hosted trip is a set route you join with a small group and a host. A personalised trip is planned around your own people, dates, pace and budget.
